Disaster

“There is only one Earth”, let us work together to protect it

Since the beginning of the 21st century, the issue of climate change has become increasingly prominent. Affected by climate change, extreme weather disasters occur frequently around the world, causing huge losses to the economies of relevant countries and people’s lives and properties. Climate change has caused sea levels to continue to rise, posing a direct threat to the survival and development of some small island countries. Climate change may also cause social unrest and even international conflicts by affecting the supply and redistribution of strategic resources such as food and water resources.

At present, mankind is facing ten major global environmental problems: global warming, depletion and destruction of the ozone layer, spread of acid rain, reduction of biodiversity, sharp loss of forests, land desertification, air pollution, water pollution, marine pollution and transboundary movement of hazardous wastes . The culprit of this series of environmental problems is us humans. Humanity’s lifestyle demands too much from the earth and is therefore unsustainable. Earth’s natural systems can no longer keep up with human needs.

In recent years, disasters have occurred frequently around the world. Earthquakes, tsunamis, droughts, floods, wildfires, and epidemics have exposed mankind to unprecedented disasters. In the face of every major disaster, the Dolphin Foundation will always be at the forefront of the disaster. As long as the people need it, the Dolphin Foundation will respond quickly, respond to international rescue needs at all times, actively participate in rescue operations in major disaster events, and provide needed relief materials to major natural disaster areas to help people rebuild their homes.

All this activity conveys this message: There are billions of galaxies in the universe and billions of planets in our galaxy, but there is only one Earth. Let us work together to protect it.
